if I have one criticism about Metaphor: ReFantazio, it’s this:

we should have had a LOT more Hulkenburg lesbian panic when Junah joins the team!

Metaphor: ReFantazio has a cast of wonderful characters and in looking up the origins of some of their names I noticed that most of them are named of plants or animals. So I had a category 2 autism moment and compiled a list of them and where their names came from because I love details like this. Tell me if I missed any!

Hello everyone, my name is Phantom and as you can see, I shall be using this blog to write Metaphor ReFantazio headcanons, imagines and one-shots alike.

Why? Why not!

This is a blog purely for me being able to do something with this franchise, and for anyone who wants to request!

Rules about this Blog :

I do allow NSFW, but only for characters who are 18+.

There are some kinks that I myself and other people shall not be comfortable with, but I am not going to list them here, just know that if you do send a request with said kinks, they will be declined.

random family headcanons cause whynot :

the cygnus saw juani as a charity case first and foremost. the lord and lady originally had no intention in adopting the beggar nidia child, until they realized how much attention she gained when she sang. unlikely circumstance occurred, and when the church found themselves praising the child ---- the cygnus saw her as an opportunity to raise their status outside the crown theocracy.

canonly : the cygnus served the church for generations behind the scenes. they are the ones that prosecuted, eliminated, and frame those the sanctist dub their enemies. despite being loyal to the church however, the sanctist church viewed them as tools and refused to allow them escape their grasp. the cygnus clan is denied social elevation time and time again, due to sanctist interference.

the cygnus and the church are both intertwined with a dark and bloody history, which causes the church to seek out ways to chain the cygnus clan to them. needless to say, the cygnus does more than just assassination. they are the church is eyes and ears, the unspoken executioner behind closed doors. unfortunately, should the cygnus prove to be unqualified or show signs of rebellion, the church is willing to cut ties with this clan personally. the cygnus are tools to be used and discarded.

junah's father is desperate to elevate his status and thus is not satisfied with the lord title which he inherited. through multiple reasons behind the scenes, he understood that it was easier and likely more reasonable to marry off his daughters. although, he might have wanted rella to continue the family bloodline, it was far more convenient to marry off his adopted daughter to higher prospects.

junah is not particularly close to either sets of parents. however, despite what canon wants to portray, junah was actually an obedient child who feared disinheritance. junah, a former slave, could not return back to her pitiful lifestyle and did all she could to please her adopted parents.

junah's rebellion did start to begin once she became a teenager and found independence while within mage academy. in an effort to dissuade any blind dates / arrange marriages, junah is known to date frivolously whilst in school. however, it was never anything serious.
